About Infotainment Systems

Vehicles on display at our Mercedes-Benz of Fort Wayne facility have infotainment systems. The technology is an all-in-one device that enables front-seat occupants to regulate interior climate, enjoy audio entertainment or extend mobile device function. Occupants simply choose the function they desire using by tapping the associated icon on the touchscreen.

Depending on the make, model and trim level of vehicles in Fort Wayne, infotainment touchscreens vary in size from approximately five inches to 20 inches. The LCD display and complex technology of the system create the colorful graphics illustrated in order to provide device functionality. Systems compatible with smartphones enable users to link their phones with the system to listen to stored playlists, make or take calls or text messages. Bluetooth connectivity provides internet access, which allows users to check weather reports or get driving directions.

The infotainment systems all come with an AM/FM radio. Some have DVD players. Four- and six-speaker stereos are typically standard fare. However, premium systems with more speakers are often an option.
