Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class Already Enters Into Second Generation

Production of the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class didn't begin until 2009, and the vehicle didn't even reach North American lots until 2010. Still that hasn't stopped the German automaker from thinking about what's in store for the vehicle in its next generation. After all, Mercedes-Benz has an image of ever-changing luxury to keep up with, and in the automotive world that's very important.
So what comes next for the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class? We here at Mercedes-Benz of Fort Wayne are incredibly excited to bring you some info that has been gathered after a few spy shots were recently snapped of a next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLK prototype.
The angular SUV was recently spotted traversing the icy streets in Norway, and it came packing a newly-designed set of front and rear bumpers and lights. Meanwhile, the next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class snags a few classic cues from the SLS AMG. That means, for example, that its shifter has moved from the center console to the steering column.
As Mercedes-Benz says, "Courage and boldness are the definition of mettle, and of the 2012 GLK. Go-anywhere capability meets race-bred performance in a compact SUV with the full strength and deep character of a Mercedes-Benz."1 And that's them talking about the current 2012 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class. In case you couldn't tell, the vehicle isn't for the faint of heart. This only serves to make everyone here at 7227 West Jefferson Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46804 even more excited for the next-gen SUV's official unveiling!
