Mercedes-Benz Takes a Different Approach to Green Technology

At Mercedes-Benz of Fort Wayne, we know that every new vehicle on our lot has been designed, manufactured, and rigorously tested to ensure that the utmost performance and comfort is always prevalent. This is, after all, the basis by which Mercedes-Benz attained its current status. So it comes to no shock that the company would not consider manufacturing an electric vehicle, as the technology, up until recently, inspired imagery of dull, lacking, and stodgy models that go against everything the brand stands for.
Fast forward to today, and it seems as though the German automaker has changed their stance. We did say up until recently, after all. Ola Kallenius, Chairman, Board of Management, Mercedes-Benz AMG, recently revealed that the company is considering the development of a dedicated EV model. Make no mistake about it, though; this won't be your typical limited, uninspired EV. Rather, it will be something else entirely.
The main focus of the vehicle will still be performance, style, and comfort more than anything else. However, Mercedes-Benz also knows that no matter how big of a performance enthusiast someone is, we all have a soft spot for the environment at our core. Furthermore, the once boring technology that powers most electric vehicles has been getting more performance-driven each year, and our favorite luxury automaker can't help but take notice.
Have we piqued your interest? Of course we have; this is Mercedes-Benz we're talking about here. However, don't expect a lot of information on this model in the immediate future, as the company hasn't even officially confirmed its development. Still, you can rest assured that everyone here at 7227 West Jefferson Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46804 is dedicated to keeping you informed, and as such, we'll be posting anything we learn to this blog for you to read first.
